Foundation for a College Education is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of students of color who attend four-year colleges. We provide academic support and enrichment activities to motivate high school students to reach beyond standard grade-level requirements and prepare for college.
We provide several ongoing volunteer opportunities throughout the year for the community to stay engaged with us including:
- Academic Tutors - tutor high school students
- Virtual Tutors - tutor 1st and 2nd year college students
- Seniors Advisors - support seniors with the college advising process
- Mentors - mentor students age 18-24 years of age in helping them reach their professional goals and be ready for a career after college
- Spanish Translators - help translate for parent and student workshops
