Grades 6 - 12
Our Teen Faith Formation courses meet on Wednesday nights from 7 - 8 pm.

Teens will be placed in small groups with 2-3 VIRTUS trained adult mentors, and a teen mentor (when possible). Many of our mentors are parents of our students, and/or licensed teachers in our community. 

Students seeking to be Confirmed, are welcomed to start their Confirmation Journey as early as 8th grade in our Confirmation Prep #1 course. Confirmation Prep #1 is the beginning of the journey towards Confirmation and must be completed by all students before enrolling in Confirmation Prep #2 regardless of grade/age. 

After completing Confirmation Prep #1 and Confirmation Prep #2, candidates will enroll in Confirmation and be Confirmed in the fall of that year:  this year's Confirmation Candidates are being confirmed on November 4th, 2023. 

Students enrolled in our Confirmation Candidate Course, will have pre-Confirmation prep work in the months of September and October and then meet twice a month after Confirmation. 

All Students who have been confirmed prior to 2023 are welcomed to join our Confirmed students starting in November for fun and faith nights on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

We are looking for mentors! This is a great way for parents to get involved inside of our Parish. Our mentors have found working with our youth to be an inspiring and fulfilling experience!

If we do not have mentors to cover all courses, we will cancel courses that do not have a minimum of 2 mentors. 

We are currently in need of mentors for:
6th Grade boys (2 co-mentors)
7th Grade girls (2 co-mentors)
7th Grade boys (1 co-mentor)
8th Grade girls (1 co-mentor)
10th Grade girls (1 co-mentor) 

We will give you all the tools you need to work with our youth! 

Mentors work in teams of 2 -3 and are supported by Kristy in anyway needed. 

Curriculum and lesson plans are provided!

Mentor's do not have to pay tuition fees for their children!

This fee covers the cost of student textbooks, teaching/learning materials and special events that take place during the school year.

We understand that some are unable to pay, and we would never turn a child away from learning about their faith. Scholarships and payment plans are available if needed. 

If you would like to sponsor a child who is unable to pay, please contact Kristy (kristy@stjohnsmankato.net) or make a donation via the above methods and include a note that you would like to sponsor a child's tuition fee.
