Intro
This Volunteer Agreement describes the arrangement between the National Campus & Community Radio Association (“NCRA/ANREC”) and volunteers within the organization. We wish to assure our volunteers of our appreciation, and aim to make the experience with us enjoyable and rewarding.
Part 1: The NCRA/ANREC
Your role as a volunteer is with either one of the NCRA/ANREC projects or as a member of the Board of Directors or the committees it oversees (see the list in Appendix 1 below). The role starts on the date signed below on this document. This volunteering role is designed to assist the NCRA/ANREC in achieving its goals and mission.

You can expect from the NCRA/ANREC:
1. Induction and training
To provide an introduction to the work of the NCRA/ANREC, its staff, your volunteering role, and the induction and/or training you need to meet the responsibilities of this role. The NCRA/ANREC website provides full details of the mission, values, and goals of the organization.

2. Supervision, support, and flexibility
To explain the standards we expect for our projects and to encourage and support you to achieve and maintain them;
To provide a named person who will meet with you regularly to discuss your volunteering and any successes and problems;
To do our best to help you develop your volunteering role with us.

3. Expenses
To reimburse pre-authorized expenses following approval by the Board of Directors and/or through the Executive Director as per the NCRA/ANREC Financial Policy:
Out of Pocket expenses.
Please keep all your receipts to give to us when we reimburse your expenses.
4. Health and safety
To provide adequate training and feedback in support of our health and safety policy, a copy of which is available upon request.

5. Equal opportunities
To ensure that all volunteers are dealt with in accordance with our equal opportunities policy, as outlined in our mission, mandate, and statement of principles

6. Problems
Ideally, if a volunteer has an issue with a fellow volunteer or staff member they will be able to resolve this problem through discussion. However, we recognize that this is not always possible. If a volunteer is having an issue within a committee they are encouraged to bring this issue to the committee chair. If a director is having an issue we encourage them to bring the issue to the board chair. If these options are not suitable, we encourage volunteers to bring their issue up with the Executive Director. If your issue involves harassment, bullying, or other unacceptable behaviour please consult the  NCRA/ANREC Complaints Process.

Part 2: The Volunteer
We expect you:
To help the NCRA/ANREC fulfill its project which you’ve agreed to join;
To perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability;
To represent the NCRA/ANREC in a fair, professional and objective manner;
