About us:
The Academic Advisory Committee (AAC) at Mat-Su Central School is a group composed of parents, school staff, principal and school board member(s) which was formed to address urgent needs at the school and parent concerns, and to give Parent Educators a strong voice in decision-making and policies at the school and District level.
As per MSBSD Board Policy: 'A permanent Academic Advisory Council shall be formed, consisting of seven to nine members that shall be empowered by the School Board to make policy and budgetary recommendations to District Administration and the School Board that define the Mat-Su Central School philosophy, mission, vision, policies, administrative regulations, practices, and procedures in accordance with State law and regulation. The Committee shall consist of parents/guardians of students enrolled in the program, school staff, one appointed School Board member, and one Superintendent designee from the District Office. The majority of the Council shall be made up of parents of students enrolled in the program.’

We are filling a mid-term vacancy on the AAC. Note, the elected candidate will need to reapply in January 2022. Complete the following form and submit a photo to:

Current AAC (voting and non-voting) members will select a candidate, through a ballot that the MSC secretary will tally.
Timeframe:
Potential AAC candidates will submit this google form, May 6 through May 14. Current AAC members will elect a candidate by end of day on May 19 which will be announced on May 20.
