Parents/Guardians and Students: As we prepare for the 2020-21 school year, we'd like to ensure that all students have a Chromebook. Please take a few minutes to read and discuss each item included within this Chromebook Distribution Agreement. As you read and discuss this together, please indicate your agreement with each item by checking the boxes for both parent/guardian(s) and student. I understand that I am responsible for taking care of my Chromebook and power adapter, including proper cleaning, avoiding exposure to liquids and tobacco smoke, avoiding hot and cold temperatures, and storing the laptop in the district-provided case. *

I will bring the Chromebook to school every day and, to the best of my ability, have it fully charged. *

I will use the Chromebook for educational purposes and in accordance with the student handbook and other applicable UCSD policies. I will use academically appropriate sounds, music, video, photos, games and applications. *

I will not attempt to use any software, utilities, applications or other means to access Internet sites or content blocked by filters. *

I will only use the Chromebook's recording capabilities for academic purposes, with consent of the participants, their knowledge of the media’s intended use, and staff approval. *

I will report any problems with my Chromebook to my teacher(s) in a timely manner. The only technology support for my Chromebook is through the UCSD Information Systems department; not a store or 3rd party technology service. *

I understand that the District owns the Chromebook and has the right to collect and inspect the laptop at any time. I have no expectation of privacy on the Chromebook or any materials and/or content contained therein. *
