Which wild one speaks to you? *

AFRICAN LION 🦁. ... the most sociable of all big cats, they use complex communication, including calculation. Lionesses are the hunters. The pride hunt together using sophisticated group strategies.They eat, then sleep up to 18hrs a day.

BLACK RHINO 🦏 ...other than us, they have no natural predators. Yet they're still easily spooked, thanks to their terrible eyesight! These MASSIVE plant-eaters will charge first, ask questions later - sometimes mistaking trees for foes.

BOOMSLANG 🐍 ... most venomous snake in Africa, but one of its least dangerous (to humans at least). These slender, tree-dwelling, big-eyed snakes will avoid humans wherever possible. Docile, but truly deadly if they can't escape threat.

WARTHOG 🐗. ... unlike most creatures on this list, the warthog is not endangered. Their playful, adaptive intelligence, speed and thick hide helps them against numerous predators. The comedians of the bush. Yes, think Pumba.

LEOPARD 🐆 ...shy and solitary, leopards only spend time with others to mate or raise cubs. They prefer to be active at night, sleeping in trees by day. Pulling their kills high into branches for safekeeping. Fast, agile, superb all-round athletes. Not fussy eaters.

HONEY BADGER 🦡 ... "World's Most Fearless Animal"! They will chase lion prides off a kill. Unbelievably tough, rubbery skin helps it eat venomous snakes & raid beehives. They have developed relationships with many other creatures for mutual benefit.

CAPE BUFFALO 🐃 ... strong silent types. The majestic "mafia of the bush". They don't forgive, exacting lethal revenge on hunters even years later on. They stand their ground, their strength is social, using herd voting to decide.

GIRAFFE🦒... the world's tallest animals, calves are welcomed into the world with a drop of at least 5 feet, but they're run-ready within an hour! They don't need much sleep, with their time devoted to constant eating. Even lions know, their kick can kill.

AFRICAN ELEPHANT 🐘 ...highly intelligent and social, ellies are in constant communication. Including ultrasound and seismic waves which they pick up through sensitive feet. Close-knit, family groups are most often led by the eldest female.

ELEPHANT SHREW 🐭 ... looks like a cute mouse or shrew - but is neither - genetically closer to elephant or manatee. Only through science has its surprising nature been revealed. Jumping skill and exquisitely attuned senses help it hunt, and stay safe.
