Baltic Porter is a style that has been an important part of Pöhjala's story since day one, and next year we're beginning an annual celebration of that - enter Baltic Porter Day! Please join us for the celebrations on Saturday 15.01 and share our love of long dark nights and strong beers!

Tartu, Estonia is considered one of the original birthplaces of what would become known as Baltic Porter, and the style has remained an important part of Estonian beer heritage ever since.

Hence, why we at Pöhjala knew that our very first brew, Oo, must be an Imperial Baltic Porter which we have brewed continuously since that day and had the pleasure of spreading our love for the style across the globe.
Now we want to give this style the attention it fully deserves by a release of specially for the event brewed!

// ABOUT THE BEER //

A true celebration of the Baltic Porter, this beer features a luxuriously rich malt base with flavors, of toasted rye bread, red berries, and dark chocolate and aged on Palo Santo wood. Native to South America and known as the "holy wood" in Spanish, this adds aromatic notes of vanilla, toasted almonds, eucalyptus and fresh mint, with a long, smooth finish.
