Publisher sign-up form – Unlock Book Fair Munich 2024

Please fill out this form if you want to attend a table for your publishing project at the Unlock Book Fair Munich 2024.

The Unlock Book Fair is an event for publications about graffiti, but it welcomes as well related topics such as urban exploration, hobo culture, historical wall-writing, street photography and street art.

The deadline for applications is 12 April 2024.

We will send you an email to let you know if your application has been accepted. Please allow a few days for this.

By fulfilling this form you accept the following conditions:
WHAT WE OFFER
1. You will be able to momentarily park your car next to a stair-free entrance to the museum. The gate for vehicles will be open for publishers in the following times:

— Set up: Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30am.
— Pack up: Sunday from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

There is free parking space in front of the venue where you can leave your car for the weekend if needed.

2. Tables are provided bare except for a small sign with the name of your publishing project.

3. There is a comfortable outdoor backstage space next to the fair space if you need to rest in privacy.

4. This year again we offer a complimentary lunch at the backstage for exhibiting publishers, two persons per exhibitor. Let us know below if you want this.

5. The fair space will be securely locked up for the Saturday night. You can leave your books directly on your table.

6. If traveling with your publications is troublesome you can ship them to Munich beforehand. Just let us know below. Your shipping will be waiting for you at the fair’s venue on the Saturday morning. Having unsold items shipped back to you after the fair is possible as well, see below.

7. For those willing to hang out on the Saturday evening there will be a friendly bar in the city center.
WHAT WE ASK FOR
1. Publishers are expected to be at the venue on the Saturday before 10am to set up their display.

2. You will be directed to a particular table, please do not use a different one. 

3. Publishers are expected to attend their table during the opening times of the fair except reasonable breaks. 

4. If you will need to pack up and leave on Sunday 19th before the stated closing time of the fair (5pm) it is important that you let us know below.

5. Publishers are expected to bring only titles published by their own publishing projects. The focus of the fair is on the contact between readers, publishers and other professionals involved in the field. If you have a particular reason to bring a title from a different publisher let us know with an email so we can consider it. This does not apply to exhibiting bookstores.

6. Please bring only printed publications to your table. If you have different items such as posters or t-shirts let us know in an email so we can consider allowing its display.

7. If you want your unsold items to be sent back to you after the fair you will need to leave them in a ready-to-ship package and organise a courier to pick it up. We will receive couriers only during the week directly after the fair and will not take responsibility for packages after that.

8. Publishers are asked to contribute three items from their table to Unlock's stock, free of charge. Total selling price of all items will not be above 100€. Items with a selling price of 15€ or less will count as half an item. A member of the Unlock team will come by your table to select and collect the items.

Books from Unlock's stock are later acquired by private collectors and libraries, with proceedings going to support the project’s year-round activity.
