Public Participation Sign Up Form
Regular meetings of the Board of Education are held at 6:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month in the Board Conference Room of the Camden County Schools Administrative Office located at 311 South East Street in Kingsland, Georgia.

Citizens of Camden County are encouraged to attend Board Meetings to listen to and observe the deliberations of its members. Meetings are open to the public but are not meetings of the public. However, a citizen may request the opportunity to speak at an appropriate time and in accordance with procedures established by the Board. Please remember that Monthly Board of Education meetings are to conduct official business of the Board.  These meetings are distinct from public hearings.

The Board requires individuals to contact the Superintendent, his administrative staff and/or local school administrators in an effort to secure, at the lowest level possible, a satisfactory solution to any concerns prior to referral to the Board of Education.

Anyone wishing to address the board are asked to abide by the following rules:      

- Each person must sign up by 10:00 AM the day of the board meeting.
- Each person will be limited to five (5) minutes.
- Each person will be asked to keep their remarks civil.  The use of obscene or profane language, physical
  violence or threats, loud or boisterous behavior will not be allowed.    
- Silence all cell phones or other communication devices.
- If you have a specific complaint involving a school system employee, bring it to the attention of the central
  office administrative staff and the superintendent in advance of the meeting.  If the issue is not resolved, then
  the issue may be brought before the board.
- If a group is addressing the board, select one person from the group to address the board on behalf of the
  group.

The Superintendent will inform you whether your complaint is one that should be referred to an executive session with the Board. The Board will not respond to public comments during the meeting but will consider any issue raised and ask the superintendent to respond on their behalf if appropriate.
