New Mexico Tech Sport Club Code of Conduct (Fall 22 - Spring 23)
All individuals (students, coaches, officers, administrators, etc.) involved in the New Mexico Tech (NMT) Sport Clubs Program (sport club members) represent not only themselves, but also NMT and NMT’s Recreation and Well-Being Department. Participation with a club sport carries with it a great deal of responsibility. As a representative of NMT and the Recreation and Well-Being Department, sport club members are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous, professional, and positive manner at all times.
All members of the NMT Sport Clubs Program, as well as the clubs/teams as a whole, are required to adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as NMT guidelines, policies, and standards; including this Code of Conduct. The NMT Recreation and Well-Being Department reserves the right to sanction individuals and/or clubs for violation of any of the above, which sanctions may include, but are not limited to, denying or revoking membership of individuals in a club, suspension of any individual, suspension of club privileges, or expulsion from the NMT Sport Club program. Any NMT Sport Club may be held responsible for the acts of any of its individual members. Participants may also be referred to the Dean of Students office for severe violations, repeat offenses, and for appeals or circumstances not resolved by club sport procedures.
