The Alicante ELLIS Unit Foundation is a newly created nonprofit private foundation headquartered in Alicante, Spain, devoted to scientific research on human-centric Artificial Intelligence. Hence, its name “The Institute for Human(ity) Centric AI” (IHCAI). It is part of the network of 30 ELLIS units in 14 European countries and Israel. ELLIS (The European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems) is a non-profit European association involving the best European scientists working on machine learning and related fields. The mission of ELLIS is to contribute to performing excellent research in Europe, to shape how machine learning and data-driven AI will change the world; and have positive economic and societal impact.

This is an exciting time to join the IHCAI as it is in its early days and you will have the opportunity to have significant impact in defining IHCAI’s culture and making it grow. To support the foundation’s ambitious goals over the coming years, we are adding several staff positions.
