We're not in a very pedestrian or bike-friendly part of town, so having your own transportation is a definite plus for stays that are longer than one week.

Depending on who's already staying here, our lodging options may vary. Just because something is listed as an option here doesn't mean that it's available. :)

For folks wo aren't able to contribute 15 hours of work in exchange for rent, we're sometimes open to a paid arrangement or some combination of dollars and work hours. This is dependent on what our current lodging and work situation is like.

Tell us about your skills and experience when it comes to manual labor, work exchange, etc. *

Our "compound" - as we affectionately refer to it - consists of a campground, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym and some homes. All of these things need TLC to keep them running smoothly. Everyone who stays here contributes to our little ecosystem in their own unique way.

Tell us about your experiences living in a community. *

Communities come in many forms - roommates, inter-generational family living, co-housing, dorms, intentional communities, summer camps, monasteries, cults....whatever! :) If you've never lived with other people before, that's ok, too!

What's your deal? Why are you interested in a work exchange situation/ lifestyle? *

Not necessarily probing for your life story :), just wondering how this work exchange situation fits into your plans.

Depending on how you found us, you may or may not know about our on-site gym, Open Source Jiu-Jitsu. We also have Judo classes, so please feel free to include any Judo experience here as well.
