Religious Education at the First Unitarian Church runs as a cooperative model. Parents and guardians are expected to be active participants, and volunteer within the program as needed. Volunteering takes many forms, from teaching, to assisting in the class, to helping with events. Life events, schedules, and abilities are a factor for every family. Our program asks that you be open to jumping in to help when the opportunity arises! Type your name below to acknowledge receiving this information. *
Type your name and relationship to the child/children below to grant permission for the following: My child/children have permission to participate in Religious Education programs and events sponsored by the First Unitarian Church. I understand that I will be notified of any outings that leave the church grounds. The First Unitarian Church, its adult agents, and employees are herewith granted permission to consent to any medical treatment that may be required for my child/children while under their care. Further, the First Unitarian Church and its employees and volunteers are herewith released from liability for all actions taken in good faith during these activities. I understand that the RE program may take photographs of children’s activities for use in church publications including the Torch newsletter, the church website, and the church Facebook page. Children who appear in such photos will not be identified by name. I will notify the Director of Religious Education in writing if I do not want my child’s image to appear in these publications.
Occasionally we look to members of our congregation to speak about other faith traditions they have past experience with. If you would like to respectfully share information about your experiences, please list the faith tradition(s) you are familiar with. (Example: Judaism, Hinduism, etc.)
