Directions: The entrance is on the left if you are heading south, between Highway 127 and Bear Branch Road. Turn onto Oaky Woods Road, follow it for about 1/2 mile (or more) to the kiosk. Park there to meet the group.

What to wear: hunting vest, long sleeves, long pants, hat, hiking boots or shoes
What to bring: For the trail: insect repellent, drinking water, walking stick.
Participants need to have full mobility as the trails are uneven.
Before visiting Oaky Woods, or any other Wildlife Management Area administered by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, participants will need to purchase a hunting or fishing license or a lands use pass. Annual passes as well as day passes are available. There are many options, including discounts. To determine which pass is right for you and to purchase online, start here:
