We are looking for families of students AND staff to host a trunk on Saturday, October 21st (rain date Sunday, October 22nd), 2023!
What does it mean to host a trunk?
You are decorating your trunk in a fun way and passing out treats as you would if a trick or treater came to your door on Halloween.
All cars will be asked to arrive at least 30-60 minutes before the event starts so that we can direct you to your parking spot and you can set up.
You can decorate your trunk with any elementary-school-friendly theme. It does not have to be Halloween related. Although a little scary is OK, please do not decorate your trunk in a way that would be gory or gruesome. Some children may be sensitive.
If you’re not sure about your theme or need some fun ideas, please reach out.
We are asking all families hosting a trunk to please provide allergy friendly options to make all children feel safe and included. Ideas include: pencils, erasers, stickers, coloring sheets, or other non-edible party favors, etc.
Non-allergy friendly treats could be candy, chips, pretzels, etc. Please make sure all edible treats are individually packaged. No loose candy. Although they may be delicious, please do not distribute homemade baked goods.
Parents/Guardians visiting each trunk with their child will be responsible for making sure their child chooses the appropriate treat.
If you’re interested in hosting a trunk, we’d love to have you!
Please contact Kristin at (609) 457-4192 or kristin.podolsky@jfcooperpta.org no later than Friday, October 13th so that you can secure your spot and we can plan accordingly.
