We need your help! We have several volunteer positions for this new and exciting event for Walk SF on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
- Set up (7:00 AM to 10:30 AM): Help Walk SF staff at the staging area in George Christopher Playground to set up registration, snack, and finish line stations.
- Registration (7:00 AM to 10:30 AM): Greet and sign in participants at the staging area in George Christopher Playground.
- Tech Helper (7:00 AM to 10:30 AM): Assist participants load the route map (Plotaroute) on their phone (Apple iOS, Android) to track their progress.
- Route attendant and cheerer (7:00 AM to 10:30 AM; 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM): Stationed at specified spots on the route to direct participants, provide encouragement (Yay! You got this! You're a walk star!), and communicate back to Walk SF staff, if needed (e.g., in case of a medical issue). Locations along route in Diamond Heights and Noe Valley.
- Break down and clean up (11:30 AM to 1:30 PM): Help Walk SF staff at the staging area in George Christopher Playground to pack and clean up.
