Did you know that 40% of children who attend Leon County Schools qualify for free or reduced- price meals? For many of these kids, meals at school are their only dependable source of food. Food pantries ensure children and their families have food at home.

Through your generosity, A FULL SUMMER can continue to help sponsor nine Leon County Schools food pantries and underwrite the monitoring fee for the Hope 24/7 Food Locker at Sabal Palm Elementary School in the 2024-2025 school year. In addition to helping to cover the cost of filling the food pantries with healthy, non-perishable foods, A FULL SUMMER provided a refrigerator or freezer for each pantry, which allows children and families to receive chicken, pork, and beef as well as nutritious frozen fruits and vegetables.
