Applications are now open for students to audition for the GWS Primary Dance Ensemble.

The Ensemble is an auditioned dance ensemble for talented dance students in Years 5 and 6 from NSW public schools from across Greater Western Sydney to develop their skills above and beyond their local school level.

To apply to audition please complete this student audition application by Friday 24 February 2023 (Term 1 Week 5).

Audition details

Date: Thursday 2 March 2023 (Term 1 Week 6)
Where: Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School
Audition time: 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm

Students will be taught choreography for this audition. No prepared dance is required. Students should wear clothing suitable to dance in with hair tied back. Students should also bring soft jazz shoes and contemporary shoes to wear during the audition. Please bring a water bottle and snacks. Parents will not be able to view the audition class.

All successful and non-successful applicants will be notified via email on Monday 6 March 2023 (Term 1 Week 7) via email with ensemble weekly rehearsals to begin on Thursday 9 March 2023 (Term 1 Week 7).
