Citizens for Modern Transit and Metro Transit are teaming up with academic institutions across the St. Louis area to reinforce how public transit can be used by college students, faculty and staff to reach hundreds of destinations around the region. Help your college or university to be the big winner by taking the MetroBus or MetroLink on Aug. 28. Ridership will be tracked via social media. Participants simply check-in at a Metro Transit Center – via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter – and post a status update or photo with #iTakeTransit, along with mentioning their school. (ex. #iTakeTransit @UMSL). Ride to Win! Participants will be entered in a special drawing. BONUS – if you show your Metro U-Pass to the Bureau of Transit Police and Metro Transit PublicSafety Officers, you may receive a special prize.
