[Invitation to VISL WORKSHOP: How to publish in high impact journals”]
✅The workshop entitled “How to publish in high impact journals” will cover various aspects of the publication process. It will reflect on the increasing importance of publication in academia and the major differences between the research for degree awards and peer-reviewed research articles. It will also provide insight into the writing of a good article and important factors to take into account while writing an article. It will provide an editor’s view on what makes a manuscript a good manuscript and will provide insight into the submission and review process and how to avoid common mistakes that can lead to rejection. The workshop will also cover how to address the comments raised by the reviewers and ethical issues in publishing.

Assoc.Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir, University of LeedsDr Muhammad Ali Nasir is an associate professor in economics at the University of Leeds and visiting research fellow at the University of Cambridge. He is greatly interested in the areas of Monetary Economics, Macroeconomics, Financial Economics and International Economics, He is an active researcher and has published in a number of reputable journals. He is also editor and guest editor of various journals including journal of environmental management, energy economics, risk analysis, quaterly review of economics and finance, technological forecasting and social change. Dr Nasir is also involved in the research supervision of doctoral level students. Dr Nasir is a key team player, possessing an excellent command of a wide range of analytical techniques paired with sound researching capabilities. He is well versed in a wide range of pedagogical and analytical techniques and their context of application. Dr Nasir demonstrates a strong commitment to innovative pedagogy, enterprise, research-informed teaching and productive collaborative research. Currently, he is working on the challenges of macroeconomic policy formulation and issues around financial stability, particularly in the Post- COVID-19 world.
