Virtual Camino with Vlad - Walk for a Home
Join us on a virtual pilgrimage and invite others to bless the poor!

Let's travel spiritually to the tomb of the Apostle James the Greater by journeying the distance of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Given a lot of the uncertainties of the pandemic, this is one way we can sanctify the coming days.

The original route (Camino Francés) that we will be following begins a Saint-Jean-PIed-de-Port in southern France all the way through Pyrenees to the city of Santiago de Compostela in Northern Spain. It is a distance of 772 km!

The goal is to begin on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 with the goal of making it to Santiago de Compostela on Pentecost Sunday, May 23, 2021 - yes, it will be THAT long! lol.

So what will this mean?

1) You will need to commit to completing 1 hour's worth of physical and/or spiritual activity everyday for 33 days. This can be walking, dancing, jogging and/or praying, singing, etc.

2) Invite your friends to sponsor your challenge by making a contribution towards the Samaritan Foundation on your behalf. All donations will get a tax receipt and will be matched dollar for dollar! This way, your walk not only strengthens you, it blesses the poor!

I look forward to this digital pilgrimage with you. As the locals remind weary pilgrims on the way to Santiago would say  - E ultreia e suseia, Deus adjuva nos! (Keep going onward and upward for God will help us)

A fitting reminder for our times: Keep going onward and upward for “we are sure of better things ahead.” (Hebrews 6:9)
