Community Hours: Call to Action Art Commission REMIX
Join Sara Clugage for our next Community Hours: Call to Action Art Commission REMIX!

Monday, March 28 at 4p UTC

Let the Art+Feminism Call to Action Art Commission inspire your own work! You can remix Wikimedia Commons images into brand-new artwork—and you can even upload your own work to Commons for the next person to remix. We’ll be showing you how to turn the Call to Action images into embroidery patterns that you can use to embellish things like clothes, pillows, or protest banners. We invite participants to get started before we come together, please see instructions in the slide deck found here with information on downloading and uploading images to Commons and Creative Commons licensing, along with techniques and instructions for this embroidery project.

Suggested supplies for this project: an embroidery hoop, a needle, thread in the colors and textures you want, a piece of fabric, and scissors. (pictured below)

Materials Reimbursement:
Art+Feminism is able to offer up to $20 USD reimbursement to offset costs of materials to participate. A form will be available at the workshop to submit receipts. If having to purchase your materials and wait for reimbursement creates a financial burden, please email accounting@artandfeminism.org for other options.
