Toowoomba Grammar School is justifiably proud of its vibrant Co-curricular Arts program, where talented young men can fulfil their artistic goals and maintain a lifelong love of music, singing and drama. Under the guidance of highly qualified, professional and enthusiastic musicians, educators and conductors/directors, Toowoomba Grammar School students can access a variety of learning, concert, performance and competition experiences through our Co-curricular Arts program. We offer a huge range of opportunities for the boys, covering all year levels from Years 7 to 12 and most disciplines of Music and Drama.

This enrolment form is for new students to express their interest in joining the Senior School Co-curricular Arts Program in 2020.

Please note, students who are already part of the Co-curricular Arts program in 2019 are not required to re-enrol in their 2019 ensembles or groups, as membership is automatically continued in 2020. However, if your son wishes to join another ensemble or group in 2020 please use this form to register his interest.

Please be aware that some 2020 ensembles or groups do require students to re-audition for a place, even if they were successful in their 2019 audition. Students will be contacted by Music and Drama staff regarding 2020 auditions for students who have been a member of an auditioned group or ensemble in 2019.

There are three Co-curricular areas available for your son to be involved in - Instrumental Ensembles, Choral Ensembles and Drama groups.


The Instrumental Ensembles available for your son include:

1. Wind Ensemble (Introductory Concert Band - no audition required)
2. Wind Orchestra (Advanced Concert Band - audition required)
3. Little Big Band (Introductory Big Band - no audition required - new ensemble in 2020)
4. Big Band (Advanced Big Band - audition required)
5. String Orchestra (Intermediate String Ensemble - no audition required)
6. Vivacé String Trio (Advanced String Trio - audition required)
7. Orchestra (Advanced Orchestra - audition required - new ensemble in 2020)
8. Guitar Ensemble (Intermediate Guitar Ensemble - no audition required)
9. RnB Too (Intermediate Rock Band - audition required)
10. RnB Band (Advanced Rock Band - audition required)
11. Saxophone Ensemble (Advanced Saxophone Ensemble - audition required)
12. Clarinet Ensemble (Advanced Clarinet Ensemble - audition required)
13. Brass Ensemble (Advanced Brass Ensemble - audition required)


The Choral Ensembles available include:
