Digital equity —especially as it pertains to our marginalized and vulnerable populations— necessitates remedying access to technology and leveraging education to provide knowledge on how to use these tools as a means of enhancing one's own life in the domains of education, personhood, profession, and civic obligation.
Phase 1: BC→DE is a 25 hour professional learning program designed to empower school and district teams with the skills and knowledge needed to leverage educational technology effectively while promoting equity in the classroom.
BC→DE is tailored to help educators, teams, and districts bridge the digital divide and ensure equitable access to education for all students. Program Deliverables:
Engage in Equity Work.
Complete the Digital Audit & Assessment with your team.
Develop Shared Language and Definition for Digital Equity.
Implement Digital Equity Practices.
Apply new learning to a project in order to build capacity.
Virtual Format (5 sessions at 90 minutes each) + 2 hours of 1:1 coaching for participants.

Session 2: Digital Equity Scenarios and Digital Audit Process
Session 3: Digital Audit & Self Assessment Workshop
Session 4: Connect Digital Equity & New Learning to Your Final Project
Session 5: Roadmap Discussion and Scaling Up
Cost: $500 per educator (10% off for teams of 10). Timeline: Program is delivered over 3-4 month time period.Earn a certificate and 25 PDPs at the end of the program. Bridgewater State Grad Credit is available for an additional $100.00. Individual educators are welcome to join!
