Incoming 6th grade students, please fill out this form so we know what you are interested in taking next year at CMS! Here are some descriptions for the options for electives-

Beginning Choir – We will start from the very beginning, a very good place to start. When you begin with A B C, when you sing you begin with Do Re Mi! Everyone is welcome! Remember, it is my job to teach you how to sing, you don’t already need to know how. If you like to sing along with the radio… come give choir a try.

Beginning Band- This is an introductory class to the world of band.  Explore the world of music through the performance of Woodwinds (flute, clarinet, saxophone, etc), Brass (Trumpet, tuba, trombone, etc) and Percussion (drums, Xylophones, etc) instruments.  Students will learn to read, write, play, analyze, critique, and ultimately express themselves through their instrument in a performance based group.  No prior knowledge of music is needed.  Use your own instrument or one loaned by the school. This is a year-long class with performances throughout.

Wheel is a pairing of two classes. All students will have 1 semester of Computer.  The other semester will be Art, Music Appreciation, Foods or Wood Shop (class placement is dependent on best fit for student’s schedule).
