Artistic Team are broken down into 7 different roles: Director, Music Director, Choreographer, Set Designer, Costume Designer, Lighting Designer, Sound Design). Please note that not all of our shows will have assistants for each of these positions.

As an assistant you would be part of the Artistic Team and considered a leader for the production. Knowing this, you will be asked to be a leader more than a friend to the cast during rehearsals and performances. You will be respectful to the rest of the Artistic Team, Production Team, and all Front of House Teams. You will be expected to communicate in a timely manner. You will fully support your team. You will not speak poorly about any member of CYT or your team. You have read and understand the mission statement and values of CYT Fredericksburg. You will hold yourself as a leader at rehearsals, on social media, and in public.  Regarding auditions, you will remain silent with what is discussed in the casting room, but may give feedback when casting. I understand that the Artistic Team members for each show this season have the right to not want/need an assistant for their position. I will respect their decision and continue to support the show by either auditioning, volunteering, being an audience member, or by speaking well about the production. *
