Young artists/teaching artists will participate in a temperature check and COVID-19 symptom questionnaire at sign-in for each session. Young artists/teaching artists will wear a mask during all indoor activities. If a young artist/ teaching artist has a fever or exhibits COVID-19 symptoms during class or at home (cough, sore throat, and/ or runny nose), I understand that they will not be able to remain in/ be admitted into the CAN Academy session that day. If a young artist/teaching artist develops symptoms at home or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, the teaching artist/youth's guardian will report this to CAN Academy program staff. Youth will be required to take a COVID test the day of experiencing symptoms and before returning to the next class. CAN Academy staff will notify all families if any young artist/teaching artist has contracts COVID and/or requires quarantine. CAN Academy staff will maintain confidentiality for young artist.

We ask that youth guardians/teaching artists disclose if they (or youth connected to them) have been exposed to COVID-19. Youth/teaching artists may still attend class if they have been exposed to COVID and are not exhibiting symptoms, however, they will be required to eat in a separate space over the course of the five calendar days following exposure. We ask that on the fifth day after exposure, the young artist/teaching artist tests for COVID and sends an image of the test result to the CAN Academy Teaching Artist and Site Coordinator's phone via text message or email.

We ask all participants and families to uphold the following CDC Guidelines:

"[Regardless] of vaccination status, you should isolate from others when you have COVID-19. You should also isolate if you are sick and suspect that you have COVID-19 but do not yet have test results.

If your results are positive, follow CDC’s full isolation recommendations. If your results are negative, you can end your isolation.

Recommending that if you test positive for COVID-19, you stay home for at least 5 days and isolate from others in your home. You are likely most infectious during these first 5 days. Wear a high-quality mask when you must be around others at home and in public.

If after 5 days you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication, and your symptoms are improving, or you never had symptoms, you may end isolation after day 5.

Regardless of when you end isolation, avoid being around people who are more likely to get very sick from COVID-19 until at least day 11. You should wear a high-quality mask through day 10. "

If COVID exposure occurs, programming will not shut down without notification, and participation of fully vaccinated young artists will be at the discretion of CAN Academy families. It is possible that sessions may be shifted to an online platform due to health concerns.
