Little Ellies uses your Working Parents Government funding a little differently to most other childcare providers.

The scheme entitles you to receive up to 30 hours per week of childcare, for 38 weeks per year (i.e. Term-time only - please note this is limited to 15 hours for under 3s and 30 hours for 3 & 4 year olds as at April 2024).

But by definition, most parents work (or want to increase their hours of work). So you may need childcare for more than just these funded hours per week (which is limited to just / during term-time).

Little Ellies has created four products which meet our parent's needs.

These are
"Working Parents - 15 hours only (Term Time only) Option"

"Working Parents - 15 hours only (Additional) Option

"Working Parents - 30 hours only (Lunch) Option"
and
"Working Parents - Fulltime Option".

Working Parents - 15 hours only (Term Time only) Option

This option is where you just want to use us for 3 hours per day - on a term term time only basis. Sessions are usually 9am to 12 pm (Mornings) or 1pm to 4pm (Afternoons).

There is no charge for the childcare that you will receive. Please note you may find that you have a very limited opportunity to use these hours with Little Ellies - as we give preference to parents who pay for additional hours with us. This is all explained in our Handbook.

Working Parents - 15 hours only (Additional) Option

This option is where you want to use us for a maximum of 6 hours per day. Sessions are usually 9am to 3 pm (mimic a typical school day) and will be limited to Term Time only. If you want more than 6 hours per day and / or school holiday childcare then choose the Working Parents - Fulltime option below.

There will be an additional charge for the childcare provided to you that is over that which your Working Parent Government funding covers. You will also have to pay for your child's lunches whilst with us.

Working Parents - 30 hours only (Lunch) Option
The "Lunch" Option is where you receive childcare for 38 weeks per year, 6 hours per day (Monday to Friday - this is limited to Term-time only). There is no charge for the childcare that you will receive.

Little Ellies does have the right to charge for your child's daily hot cooked lunch. This costs a flat rate fee of £115 per month (@ September 2023). If you do not wish your child to receive the freshly cooked, hot daily lunch then we suggest you consider choosing another childcare provider where you can use your 30 hours funding and who may be better placed to suit your needs.

Working Parents - (Fulltime) Option
The "Fulltime" Option is where you receive childcare for 51 weeks per year, up to a maximum of 10 hours per day, five days per week (Monday to Friday), as well as all your child's meals whilst they are with us.

You pay an amount per month which then covers the additional childcare that you receive (the additional hours per day that you receive above your funding level and all of the day/time you use us during the school holidays) at a substantially reduced rate.

Little Ellies does not provide Working Parent hours childcare on a "pay as you go" basis.
