INFORMATION, ADMINISTRATION & EXPECTATIONS:

The International School of Brussels Foundation, Inc. (ISBF) a charitable organization under the article 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, was incorporated in 1964 with the mission to aid, assist, foster and promote the education of K-12 students predominantly in Belgium and to disburse or contribute its income to charitable or educational organizations in accordance with decisions made by the Board of Directors.

The ISBF Board is made up of 5 to 11 individuals with a strong interest in international education and a connection with the International School of Brussels, for example, former teachers, students, parents of present or former students, and other friends of the school.

The term of appointment is renewable annually.

Some expectations are:
- Board members are expected to support and assist with all ISBF activities in the United States.

- Board members also help to create a pathway for ISB Alumni to participate in the Foundation activities, raise awareness about, and help market and support ISB's fundraising efforts in the US.

- Board members give of their Work, Wisdom and Wealth by participating in all virtual meetings (3-4 per year), at their own expense attending on average of one annual in-person meeting (often tied to a reunion event), when possible,  participate in ISB Reunions, in particular, those local to the board member plus make an annual contribution of their choosing to the Foundation.

Experience or special skills in the areas of international education, law, marketing and communication, fundraising, finance, event management and alumni activities are of particular interest.
