We believe that it is critical to infuse joy, beauty, and fun into the youth voter engagement movement. What role do you think your work will play in achieving this goal? (250 words max) *

MOVE Texas is a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization building power in underrepresented youth communities through civic education, leadership development, and issue advocacy. We are committed to empowering young people to make their voices heard through their vote, but in order to make good on this commitment we must go beyond voter registration and voter turnout. The National Artists of Texas Fellowship is a project of The Lone Star Artist Collaborative, which seeks to empower local artists across Texas to use their platforms to encourage increased civic engagement amongst young Texans.
