The Lake Charlotte Area Heritage Society owns and operates Memory Lane Heritage Village and the Eastern Shore Archives. Our mission is to “inspire an enduring appreciation for the heritage of the Eastern Shore in both residents and visitors”.
The Board meets monthly from October to May, and periodically from June to September should the need arise. The Board is comprised of a maximum of fifteen directors and typically members are elected for a three year term. The Board seeks expressions of interest from the public who wish to become an active member of the Board.

Candidates with the following skills (but not limited to) are encouraged to apply:
- financial management experience (business owner, banker, accountant, bookkeeper)
- builder / engineer / carpenter (ideally with knowledge of older buildings)
- hobby or professional historian / genealogist
- educator or academic background
- policy development/ bureaucratic sector experience
- local business connections
- founding member of the LCAHS or active volunteer
