Purpose- Recognition of meritorious activities in Floodplain Management within the State of Louisiana.
Recipient- The recipient could either be a community, organization or an individual.
Nomination- Nominations for the award can be submitted by any member of LFMA.
Selection- The Selection of the recipient shall be by majority vote of the Rodney E Emmer Awards Committee.
Awards Committee- The Awards Committee membership will consist of past Rodney E Emmer Recipients.
Frequency and Time of Award- The award will be presented not more frequently than annually at the Conference Luncheon.
Award- The award shall be an appropriate gift (approved by the LFMA Board of Directors) and a plaque with the recipient inscribed and Mr. Emmer depicted.
