Welcome to The Mecca Center's Weekly Wellness Walks for the month of May. This is one of several events the Mental Health Committee is planning to highlight May as Mental Health Awareness Month. We know that walking and especially walking outdoors is beneficial for our mental health. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to meet with friends and get outside and enjoy the beauty Allah has created around us.
We'll start with our first of 4 walks this Saturday, May 4th at 7am at Waterfall Glen. Please note the change in times for each of the walks. The 1st and last walks start at 7am and the 2nd and 3rd walks start at 9am.

Even if you can't make it for our launch on May 4th, sign up and join our WhatsApp group to enjoy some camaraderie and advice on incorporating walking and physical activity into your life. Keep up to date on the weekly walks. We'll have a male and female lead each week. We will walk approximately 2-3 miles which should take about 60-90 minutes.

Program runs Saturday, May 4, through Saturday, May 25th. We are planning to continue walking each week through the summer and will add on a walk to run program as we have in years past to train for the Mecca Moves! 5K which will be on Saturday, September 28th inshallah, so save the date!
