Seminar: Safe, Efficient & Sustainable introduction of Smart Mobility Singapore and the Netherlands
Date & Time: Wednesday 23 October - 10.30 – 13.30
Location: Pan Pacific Singapore, Level 2, Room: Ocean 6

The recent edition of the KMPG Autonomous Vehicles Readiness Index shows how the Netherlands and Singapore are dominant in the smart Mobility & Logistics arena. The Netherlands is ranked number one, because of its excellent infrastructure and high consumer acceptance. Singapore is ranked number two and has a high score when it comes to policy, rules and regulation. But the introduction of new mobility solutions creates new challenges. Is our existing infrastructure fit for Smart Mobility ? How can we safely adopt technologies? What is the potential impact of these technologies on our cities? Are there blank spots in current policies?

During the session we will hear about the strategy of Singapore and the Netherlands in the transition to smart and sustainable urban mobility. To get better insights in the effects of these new mobility technologies, TNO will showcase the Urban Strategy Tool used to advise government about the effects of policy measures on city planning. In smaller groups we will work on selected cases and see how industry and knowledge institutes can work together.

The session is organized by the Netherlands Embassy in Singapore and TNO.
