2021 Shining Stars of Disability Employment Nominations
The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is proud to present the 5th Annual Shining Stars of Disability Employment Awards. The awards recognize businesses and individuals who make exemplary efforts in the recruitment, hiring, retention and advancement of individuals with disabilities. Nominations are due by September 22nd.
One award will be given in each of the following categories: a large employer (100 + employees), a small employer (1-50 employees), an individual, and a rural champion.
Nomination Criteria:
Individual:
An individual who has led or initiated actions to remove barriers to the employment and advancement of people with disabilities in competitive, integrated employment.
Organization or Business:
An organization or business that has developed significant organizational practices that resulted in measurable, appreciable and positive outcomes that dramatically improved competitive, integrated employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Rural Champion: (an individual, organization or business located in the Eastern/Southeastern Plains, Western Slope, Mountain Resort areas of CO)
An individual initiating and leading action to remove barriers to the employment and/or advancement of individuals with disabilities in competitive integrated employment.
or:
An organization or business that has developed significant organizational practices that resulted in measurable, appreciable and positive outcomes that dramatically improved employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in competitive integrated employment.
Nominations are due by: September 22nd, with a virtual award ceremony October 27th from 12:00 -1:00.
