Mask Covers for the Medical Field
This form will be used by both Medical Professionals Who Need to Request Mask Covers and those who would like to make them.

DISCLAIMER: These hand-crafted washable, cotton mask COVERS are not recommended to prevent the spread of disease. They are created to help healthcare professionals preserve the remaining medically approved masks. This is not intended to be medical advice or guidelines. Please refer to the CDC and WHO for up to date information.

The inspiration behind this mask cover making project was from the recent CDC mask guideline stating: Below is from the CDC’s website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/ppe-strategy/face-masks.html:

“HCP use of homemade masks:
In settings where facemasks are not available, HCP might use homemade masks (e.g., bandana, scarf) for care of patients with COVID-19 as a last resort. However, homemade masks are not considered PPE, since their capability to protect HCP is unknown. Caution should be exercised when considering this option. Homemade masks should ideally be used in combination with a face shield that covers the entire front (that extends to the chin or below) and sides of the face.”

Please fill out this form as completely as possible.
