BUDDHINI VINUDYA MUTHUMUDALIGE ( MOTHER) ,                                          VINUGA SOORIYAARACHCHI (SON- 8 YEARS),                                                 VINUTH SOORIYAARACHCHI (SON -7 MONTHS)
Jeevaka Sooriyaarachchi (Buddhini’s husband) first came to New Zealand as a skilled migrant in
November 2016. He settled in Auckland, working as a spray painter for Wayne Scott Panel Beaters and
Spray Painters.

After building a little stability, Jeevaka brought his wife Buddhini and their little son Vinuga to New
Zealand in June 2017. Little Vinuga was four and a half years old when he arrived in the country. After
three months, Buddhini started working in a restaurant to support her family.

Vinuga attended New Lynn Primary School when he was five years old and after two years he moved to
Kelston Primary School. Vinuga excels in both studies and sports at school. He loves cricket and Karate.
He plays cricket at school and at the New Lynn Suburb Cricket Club. He also has already won several
medals in karate at the National Level.

In August 2020, Buddhini left her job to give birth to their second son, Vinuth.

Until February 2021 Jeevaka and Buddhini lived very happily with Vinuga and their new baby. However,
their beautiful world collapsed on the 4th of February.

After having a good day at work, Jeevaka came home and went to bed. He did not wake up the morning
after. He had sadly passed away due to a heart attack while he was sleeping.

Due to this Jeevaka’s sudden death, their world was turned upside down.

In June 2021, Jeevaka and his family would have been eligible for permanent residency. However,
Buddhini and their two sons are no longer eligible for permanent residency.

However, the main issue that now arises is whether New Zealand Immigration would be prepared to issue
further visas and/or enable her to apply for a resident visa.

By providing following information, I am requesting Immigration office to consider her request on
compassionate grounds and issue a resident visa for Buddhini and her family.

Thank you.
