Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. for the TURN Festival. The event is located at Spring Hill Park 903 S. Thompson Street, DeLand, FL 32720.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. Volunteering is in two hour blocks, but any help outside of that window is also welcome and appreciated.
These are a few of the things that volunteers will be helping with:
Job: Helping set up for the event. Tent, tables, chairs, Activity area
Job: Talking to adults and children passing by to tell them about Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc., our programs, and our BHCFL Homeschool Resource Center located in DeLand.
Job: Run activities for the children- Adinkra art table, coloring, or spin the wheel naming Black History fact and win a prize.
Job: Run activities for the children at the American Legion booth
Job: Event break down.
