Join us for an IN PERSON Wine Dinner Event featuring Bodegas Beronia and other samplings of wines represented by the Gonzales Byass Portfolio. The Event is an homage to the Basque tradition of the ‘Txoko’ Dinner Society. A Txoko is a gastronimocal society, typically of men, that come together to cook and socialize.
It is believed that over 1000 of these societies exist; the town of Guernica, Spain for example, with around 15,000 inhabitants, has nine txokos with some 700 members in total.
Claire Henderson will be joining our dinner to tell us more about this unique tradition and more about the wines. Claire, born in Scotland, obtained a First-Class Honours degree in International Business and Modern Languages majoring in Marketing and Spanish.
Claire fell in love with wine during her time spent in Jerez and after working closely with the Master Blender Antonio Flores and obtaining her Sherry Educator certification and a number of courses with the DO Jerez she is now a Sherry expert.
During the dinner you will receive a gift from Gonzalas Byass and at the end of the dinner you will have the option to take wine home at special price reserved for our wine dinner participants. Look forward to seeing you there!
