Thank you for your interest in serving at the AFHE Homeschool
Convention. Volunteers help make the Convention the success that it is!
Our volunteers have a heart for serving the homeschooling community and
we appreciate your desire to be part of the team.
Benefits of volunteering include:
• build community with other homeschoolers
• avoid the lines at check-in with a quicker volunteer check-in
• receive free workshop recordings (for 1-4 hours of service)
• receive free admission to Convention (for 5/6+ hours of service)
THIS APPLICATION IS FOR ADULT VOLUNTEERS ONLY. Teen volunteers should use the Service Team application. Recent homeschool grads may apply using either form.
Submitting this form does NOT complete your registration for the convention.
THREE STEPS TO VOLUNTEERING AT THE AFHE CONVENTION
STEP 1: Complete and submit this Volunteer Application.
STEP 2: The AFHE Volunteer Coordinator will review your application
and, if approved, will schedule you into a volunteer position.
STEP 3: After you have been scheduled to volunteer:
FREE ADMISSION: if you are
volunteering 5+ hours to earn free admission for one adult (or 6+ hours
to earn free admission for a married couple), our Registration
Coordinator will email you your coupon code and registration
instructions.
FREE WORKSHOP RECORDINGS: If you are volunteering fewer than 5 hours, you will register for Convention on your own and upon completion of fulfilling your volunteer hours, you will receive a coupon(s) for free workshop recordings.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED
The opportunity to volunteer is a benefit of membership. Whether you
are working for free admission or free workshop recordings, current AFHE
membership expiring August 1 or later is required.
If your membership expires prior to August 1, please renew before you
begin the convention registration process. The annual membership
renewal fee is $35.
If you are a graduated homeschool parent*, thank you for your continued service! You’re awesome! Please email convention@afhe.org regarding the membership requirement.
(*You homeschooled your child/children through high school and have an
interest in serving although you are retired from homeschooling.)
