OBJECTIVES *
Describe the high-level objectives of your proposal. What problem are you proposing to solve? Why is it difficult to solve today? (MAX 920 characters)

What approaches do you currently use to analyze and visualize your data? What specific techniques do you use, and what are their shortcomings? (MAX 920 characters)
COLLABORATION SIGNIFICANCE *
Explain the value and impact this effort will contribute over your current approach. How can the proposed work transform your team’s work? Can the work be extended to other problems? Would other research groups across your discipline want to apply this to their own work? (MAX 920 characters)
FIRST HAND USERS *
Who are the users of the proposed technology? Do they already exist, or are they an imagined, future category of person? How many users do you imagine? What is the relationship of your users to the people submitting the proposal? What is their availability during the summer? (MAX 920 characters)
SUCCESS METRICS *
Describe how the results will be measured. Will the effort result in a performance improvement, or greater efficiency?  Will the work lead to new insights?  Will the effort change how your group does its work? (MAX 920 characters)
PRODUCT(S) DELIVERED
Our collaborations usually culminate with a working prototype based on actual data delivered at the beginning of the project. Describe your initial vision for the final product to be developed. (MAX 920 characters)
[DATA CHARACTERIZATION] Description *
Characterize your current data. What is the storage format – text files, data cube, database? Where are the data located – local repo, PDS, AWS instance, ES cluster? How many properties are in an example record? How many records are there? What is the total storage size of the data? (MAX 920 characters)
[DATA CHARACTERIZATION] Availability *
[DATA CHARACTERIZATION] Sub-Setting *
Can a useful subset of the data be made for the summer program?
