STEM Club Application

I am pleased to announce the second semester of STEM Club this year.  This will be an introduction class offered to fourth through sixth grade students.  It will be held once a week on Thursdays after school from 2:00-3:00. During this time, students will get a general overview of what STEM is, learn what 3d printing is, current applications, procedures for using a 3d printer, and they will have the opportunity to use a CAD program to create and print designs that they have made.  In addition, we will spend some time learning about rocketry and building model rockets.

Because of the nature of learning and using new equipment, and the time it takes to print, the classes will be limited to 15 students.  Students who fill out the application will be placed in the sessions on a first come, first served basis with teacher discretion for students who have trouble with behavior during the school day.  Classroom teachers will be consulted.  Students who are chosen will be notified by email, and a permission slip will be sent home.  The dates for our sessions will be:

February 15, February 22, February 29,  March 7, March 14, March 28,  April 4, April 11, April 18, April 25, May 2, May 9

I am very excited for this opportunity.  If you are interested, please fill out the following information by January 19th.

Sincerely,

Miss Blickfeldt
