Participants will identify math skills in each learning center as well as build math into all daily routines. Participants will work collaboratively to develop ideas around Classification and Patterning and will use classification and patterning vocabulary to build lessons.
Introduction to Trauma: Understanding how experiences can impact behaviors and responses of young children - 2.0 hour SUTQ Approved

This training will serve as a beginner’s guide to understanding the impact of trauma or toxic stress can have on a child’s development. We will explore how these experiences affect the brain, then talk about potential behaviors/responses from children who have suffered traumatic experiences. Covers: brain development, social/emotional development, challenging behaviors, cognitive development
Understanding Poverty and working with Families of Young Children - 3.0 hours SUTQ Approved
April 28, 2022 - 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Participants will learn how to identify characteristics of poverty so educators can establish better relationships with children and families. Other topics discussed include how to gain knowledge to involve families in their child’s education and identifying language registrars when working with children and families.
