Beyond The Phone: Communication Skills Program - November 2022 (for 11-15 yo)

Communication Skills: One of the most important leadership skills for building relationships and influencing people. We bring these skills for children in 4 modules. You can choose 1 or more modules. Here is the description and details of each module:

MODULE 1: SMALL TALK & BUILDING CONNECTIONS:
In this module, participants learn the art of making Small Talk and listening empathically to build strong connections. This is especially useful for kids who feel tongue tied and struggle to connect with less familiar people. It also includes practicing LISTENING for verbal and non verbal cues.
This module will be covered in 2 sessions, 60 mins each session

MODULE 2: MANAGING CONFLICTS & SETTING BOUNDARIES:
Conflicts are a part and parcel of life. If your child becomes overwhelmed or aggressive in situations of conflict, this module is for them. They learn to resolve conflict keeping in mind their and other party's interest. They also learn to identify unhealthy relationships and set personal boundaries.
This module will be covered in 2 sessions, 60 mins each session

MODULE 3: COMMUNICATION STYLES FOR DIFFERENT SITUATIONS:
If your child uses sulk-or-tantrum way to communicate his/her needs or wants, this module is for them. Different situations demand different style of communication from us. We cannot always be the "nice person" nor should we always look at "challenging" others. In this module they learn 4 different types of communication styles and which one to use in what kind of situations. They also learn how to APOLOGISE EFFECTIVELY.
This module is taught in 2 sessions, 60 mins each session.

MODULE 4: INFLUENCING SKILLS:
Influencing a small or large group setting can be daunting for anyone, especially children. In this module they learn to get over their shyness and fear of speaking in front of small and large groups. They will learn strategies to influence people with their content and delivery.
This module is taught in 4 sessions, 60 mins each session.
