Please ensure your float is in place in the Car Park at Eureka by 11.00. The procession will start at 11.30 for its journey to Manor Heath, with judging taking place en-route.

If you are parking a vehicle in the Eureka car park whilst dropping off passengers or parking to attend to a float you need to pay and display. The Pick-up / Drop Off area is free but no vehicle must be left unattended even for a moment. If we lose the free use of Eureka Car Park the future of the procession might well be in doubt.

Please keep Eureka car park clean and take your rubbish with you. Toilets are available in Eureka.

No alcohol or smoking is allowed in the procession or in the procession staging/waiting area at Eureka.

Children must be adequately supervised as per your organisation’s rules. Children on the float must not be standing whilst the vehicle is in motion.

A maximum of six collectors are allowed per float, hi-vis vests should be used in accordance with your risk assessment. Buckets will need to be collected from the Gala Officials in the van near the entrance to the procession staging area groups that require them.

Collectors must be at least 16 years of age and they must stay with their own float at all times.

Each float is to be marshaled by a minimum of two identifiable stewards wearing a hi-vis vest to each side of the vehicle to prevent spectators infringing on the procession.

Care should be taken when dismounting from your vehicle on arrival at Manor Heath.

Your participation in the Halifax Charity Gala is also governed by the charities agreement where applicable.
