School Building in Toronto: Where Are We Now?

Tuesday May 7, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

As communities continue to grow and intensify, accommodation pressures continue to emerge at local public schools when faced with increasing enrolment. TDSB staff will speak to how the studies in the Board’s Long-Term Program and Accommodation Strategy and Secondary School Review will mitigate these challenges; City Councillors will speak to their role; the Toronto Lands Corporation (TLC) will speak to how they support TDSB planning and development; Superintendents will speak to how we are managing and I will speak to our advocacy with the province regarding capital funding.

With special guests Andrew Gowdy, TDSB System Planning Officer and Daniel Castaldo, TDSB Senior Manager, Planning, City Councillor Mike Colle, Ward 8 Eglinton-Lawrence and City Councillor Josh Matlow, Ward 12 Toronto-St. Paul’s along with Yvonne Choi, TLC Director of Planning and Matt Bagnall, TLC Senior Planner.
