First Stripes Association Declaration
Interested in hosting First Stripes?

Please read over the information, and then declare to Ringette Alberta. The declaration will get you your resources, to the numbers you declare.

What you will receive?
- Laminated gamecards (replacement ones can be printed using the file on the website)
- Armbands for the officials (they are not wearing jerseys, as they are not needing to be yet, jerseys are for full ice)

Read over this section and then fill in all the information below.

ALL information on the First Stripes Program can be found here, under FIRST STRIPES.
1) Associations must be aware that this program is going to be running, using the following documents:
2) Please note that there is a gamecard and also POST-game reports - coaches need to be made aware of that.
  • The gamecard will help that, as it lists the roles as clear as possible and is meant to be adhered to before the game. Post-game is more to make sure that our officials are not dealing with anything, so it is a really simple feedback that takes a few seconds (Date and time of game, location, level, and if there are comments, they can add, and a section if they have questions).
3) OFFICIALS INTAKE!
  • Officials coming to this program MUST read the manual and complete the test. Once they have completed that, they their intake form will be sent to the association.
  • Associations will give their officials the link to the test/intake form, Ringette Alberta will send them the completed intake when the official has completed the form
  • The intake form has the manual linked in there - so the officials have access to it via the form, as well as from the Officials Resources page in the First Stripes section.
4) Make sure they are REGISTERED!!!

Please declare using this form :)

Name (First Last) *
Association *
How many U10 Step 1 teams does your association have? *
How many U10 Step 2 teams does your association have? *
How many First Stripes Officials are you looking to take on? *
Please consider your numbers - a regular equation is for every 1 team you have, you should have 1.5 officials available. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE TOO MANY OFFICIALS ON - they will not get games, and we could lose them.

The number that you provide here will be the number of materials sent
Have you ensured that the coaches are aware that these officials are coming into the program? *
This is a proactive measure - if the coaches know, then there are NO surprises and education should make them more aware and keen :)
Are you able to pick up the materials? *
Pickup in the Edmonton area, where possible. If you are outside of the region, let me know - we will mail out.
Mailing Address (if not able to pick up)
Post-game reports will come to Ringette Alberta, and then will be forwarded to you. These tools will help the association monitor their program and allow the new officials to ask questions.

Please commit to making sure these are completed after each game.

Do you agree to providing feedback to the program at the end of the season (After April)? *
