.
Dorinda is offering 4 x 1-hour seminars in term 3 at the HASCA Hub. Attend as many as you like.
Sessions will be held at 10:30am at the Hub, and will be held in the meeting room on the ground floor.
The aim of these seminars is to support and equip parents to teach their children the basics in core areas of learning with confidence. The seminars include suggested resources and proven teaching strategies aimed primarily at those homeschooling primary school-aged children.
11/08/22 Little House on the Prairie: On display at this seminar there will be all the books in the Little House series, similar books about NZ history, tools like Pa would have used and original pieces of clothing similar to those Ma would have sewn. We will be discussing ideas for using the books as a starting point for story writing ideas and learning about places to visit to learn about pioneering life in New Zealand.
25/08/22 Maths with Understanding - how to use everyday items and basic resources and materials so that your children understand counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
