Glencoe Chess Club Registration 2019-2020.

Dear Chess Club Parents,

In order to institutionalize Chess Club at Glencoe for the coming future, we have been working with Chess for Success to bring their program here. This will mean trained instructors, free admission to their chess tournaments, t-shirts for the kids, chess clocks for the club, as well as the ability to draw on more coaches, which will allow us to expand beyond the 30 cap limit.

Because of this, they will be charging a fee of $150 for the year (Oct-March). If you qualify for reduced lunch or feel the fee is beyond your means, please get in touch with us so we can work something out. We want to make chess accessible to everyone!

The first meeting of Chess Club will be on Friday, October 4 from 2:20 PM - 3:35 PM at the school library. (The longer time is in order to facilitate instruction time and play.)

1. Parents can send checks to the Chess for Success office:

You should indicate with the payment that it's for Glencoe and your students' names.

2. Go directly to their website and pay with a credit card.

Make a payment, and in the notes on the form put in Glencoe and the names of the students they are paying for.

There will still be opportunities to volunteer this,  so please consider signing up below for weekly or irregular help with the club. If you would be interested in becoming a trained coach, please indicate that as well.
