In light of the recent tragic earthquake event that took place in Morocco, we, a team of students and researchers at Mila, are organizing a hackathon to sensitise people about the effects these events have had on the affected people and their families and friends and motivate the scientific community to join their efforts to think ahead about the following questions, among others:

How to improve forecasting for natural disasters from data?
How to optimize and democratize access to humanitarian rescue operations and aid?
How to optimize the process of (future) infrastructure building, so that we're able to minimize the time for emergency interventions?
